Subsection 8.1.1 Background

In this chapter, we’ll discuss the three major citation styles you’ll encounter during your time at Puget Sound: MLA (Modern Language Association), CMS (Chicago Manual of Style), and APA (American Psychological Association).
In general, here are some differences between the styles:
